Your investment in LCMNU helps students find community, meaning, and an authentic relationship with God, and then share their gifts and live out their faith beyond LCMNU. Thank you for your generosity and partnership!

We invite you to consider a gift of $50, $100, $200, or more:

  • A $250 donation would provide the meal for students at our weekly Wednesday Supper Worship.

  • $400 covers registration costs and housing expenses for two students to attend Synod Assembly on behalf of LCMNU as a recognized ELCA congregation.

  • $1,000 goes a long way toward ensuring we can provide the staffing, materials, and facilities essential to supporting meaningful programming and support to our students now and for years to come.

If each of our donors (individuals, congregations, and organizations) gave $300 annually, our financial needs would be met.

How to Donate

Online: Lutheran Campus Ministry at Northwestern University welcomes your gifts in support of our ministry to Northwestern students and the community.

You can designate your donation on the pay page by using the drop down arrow: Ministry Support Fund, Property Support Fund, the Endowment Fund, or Hospitality.

The Ministry Support Fund, also the default fund, is used to pay for LCMNU expenses. This includes programming and educational materials, conference attendance fees, staff costs, and other ministry operational costs. For example, two students attended the Yale Public Theology and Public Policy Conference in April 2026 for approximately $1,000.

The Property Support Fund helps to pay for our ongoing property maintenance and repair needs. In September 2026 the Center kitchen and first floor bathroom floor was replaced for approximately $8,000.

The Endowment Fund supports LCMNU today and into the future by providing long-term, invested financial support for the ministry.

Donations for Hospitality are used to purchase food for Wednesday Supper Worship, Coffee Hours and other events.

Sponsor a meal for Wednesday Supper Worship ($250) by sending a check with “Wednesday meal” in the memo or donate online to “Hospitality”.

Thrivent Choice Dollars and Thrivent Action Grants: If you are a Thrivent member, please consider directing your Thrivent Choice Dollars to Lutheran Campus Ministry at Northwestern University. Thrivent LINK. If you are eligible to receive Thrivent Action Grants, please contact us for assistance in applying on behalf of LCMNU.
