Who We Are

Lutheran Campus Ministry at Northwestern University

LCMNU is a welcoming community experiencing, living, and sharing the love of God through scholarship, service, and faith. LCMNU is a student-led ministry that welcomes all of God’s people regardless of race, color, national origin, religion, age, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity and expression, parental status, marital status, disability, citizenship, or veteran status. As one of 180+ campus ministries of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA), LCMNU shares in the mission “to invite people in academic settings to engage more deeply with the teachings of Jesus Christ and the community that bears his name, so that they can discover and fulfill their vocation as disciples.”

University Lutheran Church

ULC is a student-congregation of the Evangelical Lutheran Church and a Reconciling in Christ congregation. In May 2014, congregational voting members voted to create a task force to discuss the viability, purpose, and future of ULC. Please read the November 2014 letter from ULC’s Executive Officers.
